How to not let the stress of wedding planning put a strain on your relationship and our favorite way to maintain the romance during the entire process.
When it comes to you and your significant other’s relationship during all the planning, it’s so important to keep the adventure and playful spirit the two of you always have! From deadlines and hefty contracts to nailing down your guest list and coughing up the big bucks, it’s no wonder that the stress from planning a wedding can take away some romance of the romance. For us, having our wedding planner has kept all stresses to a minimum, and has allowed us to enjoy the ride so far which we are so thankful for! For others, especially ones that don’t choose to hire a planner, this can be a little more of a challenge, but allowing the romance and love to flourish during this time is so important.
John and I’s best memories are those that include adventures. We explored and discovered so many destinations including stops along Highway 1, romantic coastal views in Mendocino, a week-long cruise to Mexico, endless weekends in wine country, and snowy winter trips to Sun Valley. Now that we are in the thick of planning, John and I have decided to flock to Palm Springs this weekend to disconnect and enjoy each other’s company together during this special moment in our lives. It will be my first time visiting the desert, and I can’t wait to use this opportunity to create new memories together with him. So, simply said…if you’re in the middle of wedding planning, don’t forget to have fun and try your best to not let the planning stress get to you and your significant other! Take a trip, visit your favorite restaurant, take a cooking class..really anything that will take your mind of planning for a little while and allow you to enjoy the company of the one you fell in love with!
