When you think of spring, what do you envision? Perhaps you imagine your toes sinking into sun kissed sand or maybe you look forward to trips to the flower to embellish your home with sweet spring florals. For me, spring has always been my favorite time of the year for several reasons. It’s a time when you get to indulge in new wardrobe pieces (and clear out your closet to make room for them), a time to almost reset before the summer hits and an opportunity to reflect on the past two months and the resolutions you may have set during New Years. The budding flowers and sunny brisk air can inspire new ideas and provide that motivation you might be looking for, which is exactly what I look forward to.
Admittedly, neutral colors and soft hues always take up the majority of my spring wardrobe. I love the flexibility it provides to pair with statement pieces to complete a classic feminine look. Over the weekend, I choose to embrace San Francisco’s early spring arrival by pairing my new favorite tote bag with these very same light spring hues to give the tote all the attention it deserves!
Handmade in Portland with love, design based studio Nell & Mary are absolutely killing it when it comes to products and quality. The fresh design and craftsmanship of my tote is truly a work of art and I couldn’t be more impressed with the wide variety of products they offer. The size is perfect for a trip to the farmers market, brunch and everyday use. From succulent patterned tea towels and classic aprons to perfectly sized tote bags and creatively designed pillows, Nell & Mary does it all.
Spring can also be a busy time of year, but regardless of your work schedule try not to let the season pass you by! My suggestion for taking advantage of the warm weather? Get outside! Go picnic! Stroll along a path you’ve always wanted to and let the energy March provides to prepare you for the coming months of summer. If you work in an office, make it a priority to step away from your desk and find a sunny spot to eat lunch. Take a break and go on a frozen yogurt trip with you closest friends and spend the extra and indulge in that chilled glass of white wine you know you want at lunch!
What have you been up too recently? Do you have any traditions you look forward to in the spring?
This post was made possible in partnership with Nell & Mary. As always, ll opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the companies that make the blog a little more dreamy!
