How To Host A Classy St. Patrick’s Day Party

If you’re looking to host a St. Patrick’s day party that is both lovely and classy, you’re in the right spot! The primary gold, green and white colors of this Irish holiday lend a lot of creative opportunities to host a darling St. Patrick’s Day gathering! This is one of my favorite holidays for a few reasons. First, I feel like it’s often overshadowed since it’s spot on the calendar just happens to be nestled between Valentine’s Day and Easter. Often times those holidays steal the sunlight but there are so many interesting and fun DIY projects and decorations that are associated with St. Patrick’s Day. Second reason why I love it ? Well, it just so happens that I was born on this day so it’s always had a special place in my heart. Searching for something beautiful with hints of green to wear on my birthday, all green everything during class parties in elementary school and my admiration for a good Irish coffee all add up to why I really enjoy this holiday.

With that being said, I’m sharing all my favorite projects, recipes and decorations to inspire a St. Patrick’s day gathering of your own. With less that one week away, the time is now to get creative and festive with my top entertaining picks!

An amazing table can really make the gathering pop! To start, I recommend settling on your centerpiece first which will allow you to build upon the colors within the bouquet. There’s a good chance you’ll spot some interesting glassware as stores introduce their spring collections. Why not use this gathering to display and use all your new home items? Linen napkins, gold accents and green glasses are essential to getting in the spirit.

If you’re feeling up to it, there’s a great guide to making these DIY moss place mats as well.

Well, this need no explanation, but here we go anyways! Decorations are the easiest way to cultivate a festive gathering. I mean, who doesn’t love to shop around and find the perfect plates, glasses, confetti, balloons and more? I’ve found some fresh, new items that will transform your venue into a classy and adult version for St. Patrick’s Day this year!

Ah, this one can be a little tricky! Not everyone is a fan of the good ol’ corned beef and cabbage and many people now a days have dietary restriction. In addition to classic Irish recipes, try incorporating all things greens in addition! Grapes, celery, broccoli, apple slices and more will serve as a really nice appetizer for your guests upon arrival and also fits into the green theme. Double win!

Annnnd here comes the fun! Just because the Irish love their whiskey doesn’t mean that limits what can be on your bar cart. I’m swooning over these mini champagne bottles disguised with glitter. Need some recipe inspiration? How about a Lucky Leprechaun or Pear Irish Mule?

No matter how you implement green, gold and white into your gathering, don’t forget to have fun and get creative! What is your favorite element to hosting a party?
