Dressing For A San Francisco Summer

When summer arrives in San Francisco, it’s time to pull out the layers and get ready to bundle! Taken from experiencing 5 chilly summers spent living in the city, this one has been the coldest I can remember. With a few warm days in between, the fog has been thick and the wind relentless. While many have spent the last few months in cut off shorts and a tank, us city kids have been patiently awaiting our own summer which arrives in September. With that said, I’ve begun to purchased quite the haul of seasonal wardrobe staples already and hey- any excuse for booties, sweaters in perfectly fine in my book!

Last Saturday was no exception for the chance to bundle up and stay warm. Don’t let the sunshine fool you, it was quite cold as we strolled through a favorite neighborhood of ours dog watching and lunching. Because San Francisco weather is so unpredictable, oversized sweaters have always been a favorite of mine for the cool climate. From the office to date night, the versatility of dressing them both up and down is super convenient and they never fail to keep me warm. I picked up this particular Topshop sweater during the Nordstrom sale and haven’t taken it off since! I also scored these overly comfy Pikolinos boots and can already tell they are going to be a staple bootie for the season!
