Looking back on those childhood memories, you can begin to understand the importance of traditions from one year to the next. Pairing tastes and sounds with past moments are the sweetest ways to cherish memories and remember them for years to come. As I gain more perspective on the importance of these memories year after year, I have the urge to form new traditions of my own. This time of year is especially easy to gather with loved ones and begin to create experiences that will last much longer than the excitement of a new gift that could very well be forgotten years later.
Holiday Tradition Ideas
Get tangled up in Christmas lights and plan a quick photoshoot with your significant other to capture the moment in the sweetest way possible.
Pro chef or baking newbie? Skill levels don’t matter when you’re having fun in the kitchen! Try out a new recipe or perfect one that has been passed down to spend some quality time with a loved one unplugged from technology.
Gather your girlfriends and host a DIY craft night. Something as simple as photo ornament making, mini terrarium creation, or busting out contact paper for instant home upgrades go well with girl talk, wine and yummy snacks, right?
Visit a tree farm to pick out and take home your Christmas tree! After, sip eggnog and marvel at the best looking tree you and your crew could find!
Start an ornament exchange to build you collection year after year! This season, John and I are beginning our own tradition of gifting each other ornaments that instantly remind us of each other. This is a tradition that is so simple, but will remain ever so significant to us as the years go on.
Spend a night on the town seeing a theater show. Girls night out accompanied with dinner before The Nutcracker? Where do I sign up?!
Year after year, stocking after stocking, there is one sweet thing I can rely on during Christmas with my family. Call it tradition, call it deliciousness or call it a delicious tradition that one constant I look forward to each year is the abundance of See’s Candies around the house! Whether it be a large box of chocolates nicely tucked under the tree, assorted lollypops gently placed at the top of our stockings or seasonal gifts for friends and family, See’s Candies never disappoints during this time of year!
I am so excited to partner with See’s Candies to host a sweet giveaway for two lucky winners to each receive a $50 gift card to pass along my tradition being surrounded by See’s Candies during the holidays! Please use the form below to enter.
