Cooking is one of those traditions that every culture places value on. It’s an activity that brings us together to pass down recipes, tips and tricks from one generation to the next and certainly a tradition I take much pride in.It allows us to spend time with family without distractions while engaging and learning new things in the kitchen, which is why I always look forward to pulling out cookbooks filled with family recipes and imagine the conversations shared over those meals. There’s no greater season than the holidays to create memories by replacing your smart phone with a whisk and following a recipe step by step to breed some serious quality time.
Because of this chance to create special memories, I’m so excited to announce I will be attending a holiday themed cooking demonstration with Macy’s Culinary Council chef, Nancy Silverton! After her career as a pastry chef at Wolgang Puck’s restaurant Spago!, Nancy is now the author of many cookbooks and is the recipient of the 2014 James Beard Foundation Award, so you can bet she knows her stuff! This free event to see Nancy live in action will take place next week in San Francisco and is open to the public! By attending, you’ll learn everything you need to know for holiday entertaining plus awesome, easy recipes from Silverton’s new cookbook, Mozza From Home.
