5 fall tradition ideas that you should start doing right now to help manage stress and allow you to truly enjoy the holiday season!
When it comes to the upcoming festive holidays, and the start of nights when the sun sets earlier and earlier, I’d be lying if my wine intake doesn’t heighten. For me, one of the activities that I find much joy in is de-canting a full bodied red wine while you cook up a seasonal meal with my mister. The changing of months from October to November is one of my favorite times to embrace the colder weather and celebratory season that these months ahead of us will bring. With a corkscrew in one hand, and a bottle of wine in the other, there’s no better time to welcome guests into your home, pour a glass and enjoy the company that is available to you. After all, what is fall without good food, better wine and endless conversations?
A rather temperate weather forecast throughout November in California means opportunities to either hibernate inside, or enjoy the leaves and tall redwoods of the Northern California landscape. From days as a child spent outside exploring (hands up to those who grew up without cell phones!), to endless trips along Highway One and weekends spent among the vineyards of Sonoma and Napa, I’ve always preferred outside hangs.
Because of this, I couldn’t help but head into an almost hidden redwood grove with John on a crisp Sunday to enjoy lunch, and our newest favorite marketplace of exception wine at a price everyone can access courtesy of Cameron Hughes! Our style of a romantic outdoor date couldn’t be complete without his and her favorite varieties. For her, it’s a 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and for him, a 2016 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. It couldn’t have been a more picture perfect, Northern California afternoon sipping on this quality wine and spending time together unplugged. It’s so easy to let our technology run our lives these days, but recognizing the importance of being present where you are and who you are with those rare, quiet moments can change the way you experience this grand life.
Whoever spoke the quote “life’s too short to drink cheap wine” absolutely hasn’t heard of Cameron Hughes…yet (hey, maybe they’re reading this right now!) Cameron Hughes wine is changing the industry one luxury bottle at a time without a the heavy price tag that often quality wines often bring through long-standing partnerships in the industry. Can I get a heck yes?! Among our other favorite bottles are the 2014 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, 2015 Alexander Valley Old Vine Zinfandel, and 2015 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay. If you’re ready to up your wine game but not ready to commit to a big price tag, Cameron Hughes is your go-to solution for all your fall and winter celebrations and traditions.

Even better? Get dinner and a cocktail before to ensure you are energized for you ice skating adventure!
