15 Minute Party Favors Sure To ‘Wow’ Your Guests

One of my favorite aspects of autumn is the golden hues, hot apple cider and the cozy gatherings that take place during the season. Despite the craziness and often over booked schedules, finding a time to connect with friends and family makes the stress of the holidays worth it. The significance of spending quality time together in a wonderful setting is becoming more and more important to me with each coming year, so this season I’m making simple party favors to pass out to share a little extra love!Fall Party Favors

To make an event extra special, I love the idea of giving guests a take away item to represent the memories made on the occasion. I absolutely love gold everything during these months and I never grow tired of succulents, so why not merge the two to create the perfect party favor? These adorable and super simple potted succulents in hand painted mini-pots make for a beautiful gift for your friends, family, co-workers and party attendee’s alike.

To make 6 party favors, you will need:

6 mini clay pots | 6 succulents | pebble rocks | gold spray paint | white spray paint |  washi tape

The first steps in making this DIY are (in my opinion) the most fun steps! To begin, you will want to spray paint all six clay pots flat white. Doing so will allow you to use your creativity with the gold spray paint to create interesting and unique designs. After the white paint has completely dried, this is when you can really tap into your creative side. To make different lines and shapes, have a go with your washi tape and try taping in all directions! Once the tape is securely placed in the areas you want to keep white, break out the gold spray paint and it to create the accent color on the pots.

After the gold has dried, gently peel off the washi tap and ta-da! You have completely changed that simple clay pot into a modern and creative succulent holder! From here, simply place a layer of dirt into the pot, trim any unnecessary leaves from the succulent to ensure it fits nicely and plant away! After, be sure to add an another layer of dirt surrounding the base to keep the plant healthy.

After you have gently planted the single succulent in your painted pot, the final step is to cover the dirt with pebbles. You will notice how lovely the white pebbles tie into the crisp white color of the pot, making it look well coordinated and thought out. The versatility in this DIY is endless and it allows you to create a party favor customized to each guest, which is a huge bonus in my eyes!

These mini succulent gifts turn out great and can be done by even the most timid DIY-er when the creative mood strikes! Now, it’s time to plan a party! Speaking of parties, are you throwing any gatherings where these party favors would work nicely at? I’d love to hear what you’re up to this season!
