Welcome to my first installment in my new series “Daydreaming Of”! I’m so excited to share notes, imagery and packing guides to dreamy places to inspire all forms of wanderlust. Discovering new locations near and far has always been a passion of mine which often translates to searching the Internet and Instagram for stunning hidden gems and must see wonders of the world. Since most know traveling to these jaw dropping locations seen on our screens isn’t actually as easy as some make it seem (you know, those individuals who travel for work, world photographers and so on) I hope this series brings inspiration that’s encourages the wanderlust in all and to serve as inspiration when you decide its time to hop on a plane and just go…
First up in the series is Tulum, Mexico- a spot that all of a sudden flooded our instagrams and favorite blogs with twinkling string lights and seemingly calm turquoise waters. Quaint shops appear to line the downtown in the coast haven along the Yucatán Peninsula overlooking the Caribbean Sea and fresh seafood naturally takes over the culinary scene here.
Some of my favorite bloggers have shared their experience their including the lovely Ana of Fluxi On Tour, the seemingly fabulous Bri of Design Love Fest and SF girl turned LA, Victoria of SF Girl By Bay. Their experience, written word and stunning imagery of the popular destination along with several other travelers and photographers, naturally Tulum has been on my radar ever since it colorful beauty was shared with us all.
Have you ever been to Tulum, Mexico? What do you look for when planning the perfect vacation? How do you go about choosing between destinations?
